We started our vacation in Memphis with a tour of the Gibson Factory and a trip to Beale Street as we embarked on The Mississippi Blues Trail. It was the first time in my life I didn't have an agenda or no set plans. We has a blast. Along the way we got to spend time with our niece and her precious family as well as Julie's brother. We ended our travels in Muscle Sholes, Alabama then headed home to get back to work. (Be sure and checkout my pictures in the portfolio)
The best things about fall is one, Alabama football is back the other thing is Orange Tour begins. My travels this month started on the east coast in New York city and ended on the west coast out in Orange County. I have to be honest,I love California, it's one of my favorite places on earth.
Another first happen this month, a first I had dreamed about since Sparrow came into the world. I got to take Sparrow to his first Alabama football game. Alabama came to Nashville to play Vandy and Sparrow and Cory joined me to cheer on the Crismon Tide. It was a real special day for me.
This month Julie and I got to attend our church's conference. It was the first time in many many years I attended a conference just for spiritial growth and encouragement. It was amazing. I love our church and am so thankful that God has placed us here. I've been helping with pastoral care and also helping with pre-marital conceling and weddings.
