July started out with Sparrow getting to take Goalie lessons. He has been taking hockey lessons for the last two hears. He enjoys it so. I got to attend Orange's High School Camp for a day over in the Smokey Mountains. It was awesome to connect with some great student ministry leaders and see hundreds of teenagers worshiping Jesus. Whitney and I got to see James Taylor in concert. It was a wonderful night. At the concert Whitney and I ran into one of my favorite children's church kids from my second church. I also got to perform her wedding 20 years ago. We also got to hang out with them and enjoy a night at a local Nashville blues club. We also all got to celebrate Yancy's birthday in style. We Wideman's love our birthday celebrations we call them our “day of fun."
One of the perks of living in Nashville is each July we play host to the Summer Namm Show (North American Muric Merchants) I got to attend with a dear ministry friend and Whitney's boy friend Nigel. There's nothing more fun to me as a huge exibition hall full of guitars.
I also got to minister in Minnesota and visit an old friend at the same time.
We ended this month of celebrations with Rhythm turning one. He is such a sweet little guy and this year has flown by. Yancy and Cory throw the best birthday parties for the boys. It was a wonderful night of celebrating our little Rhythm with families and friends.
